Our flagship product/service is the Register of Legislation.

As part of the requirements of various international standards for Environmental and Health & Safety Management systems (ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001) organisations are required to consider all relevant local, European and international legislation that applies to their activities. To achieve this, companies must draft a Register of Legislation, a document which details the relevant legislative/regulatory requirements, the company's understanding of these and the implications for their organisation.

As you can imagine, for the majority of organisations this can be a daunting task, especially if they do not possess the kinds of specialist legal skills in-house, to this end TMS Consultancy offer a service in this area. We have a wealth of experience of delivering Registers of Environmental Legislation, Registers of Health and Safety Legislation and integrated Registers of EHS Legislation to our clients across various sectors. This service is offered in a variety of media.

Hazard Register

TMS's Hazard Register software is a new leading edge solution for assessing the risks associated with all the activities in modern businesses.

Based on international best practice and standards such as OHSAS 18001, BS 8800 and ILO OHS (2001), it gives our clients a comprehensive methodology for Identifying Hazards, Evaluating Risks, and Reviewing Assessments without restricting the unique application of Risk Assessment in their organisations.

The benefits that this tool can offer include:

1. A Risk Assessment process based on sound best practice principals.
2. Browser-based software for easy installation across multiple sites.
3. Full transparency and traceability throughout the assessment and subsequent reviews.
4. Staff can be given access to Risks that they should be aware of.
5. Can link to Legal Requirements and interpretation.
6. It can be customised to suit client needs.

Register of Aspects

Similar in ways to both of the previous products this is a tool that clients can use to assess and compare the environmental impact of various aspects of their activities. It uses a quantitative approach to give clients a rating of their environmental aspects showing which are the most significant and require management or control by the organisation.

This tool can be offered to experienced clients as a tool for carrying out their own assessment, or TMS can use the tool itself to deliver our service of carrying out this assessment on behalf of our clients and presenting them with the results.

Register of Compliance

This is a tool which allows organisations to assess their level of compliance with Environmental and/or Health & Safety legislation.

An informed list of queries are presented to the client who chooses from lists of pre-prepared answers. The answers all have varying related scores which combine to give a compliance rating for that element of legislation.

This product can interact directly with the Register of Legislation.
